Fly Away

Life is a little hectic at the moment! Interviews are coming up and it seems to be a race against time to complete many of the photo shoots that drift around my head. At the moment I have just finished editing and sorting through the photos from a balloon shoot that's is for my pop goes bang project, I am making a dress and planning a shoot for my movement project (on going) and gathering the various props needed to transform my glamorous friend into a editorial mad hatter.

BALLOONS!!!

Not the easiest prop to work with in gale force winds and spitting rain but persistence does prevail! It was very cold and at one point the cotton thread holding the whole operation together went SNAP! And sent my supposed balloon collar racing down the park with my faithful assistant making a mad dash to retrieve them (suffice to say not many survived). I am however pleased with the result of the shoot but i cannot decide which shot to choose....

The first shot was taken at my house with the idea that she was surrounded by multi coloured bubbles, but the main concept in my head was to shoot outside with her wearing a balloon collar standing to the far right withe a grass horizon. It was a shame the collar broke so soon as I didn't get a chance to fully explore the collar aspect, instead settling with tethering it to the models hair. Although it wasn't my initial concept, by tethering it to her hair it created a similar effect and I think it even made it look more editorial.
