Taking Inspiration..

OK so at the moment my little world of tranquility has been invaded by snow and as we all know us British folk are ALWAYS caught a miss ... but i am finding it somehow inspiring.

I am having a massive creative urge to leap into fashion film . . . unusual as media A level made me slightly lose my mind in the process of editing, casting etc. My current project at LCF is looking at all sorts of disturbing themes and my project, human horror, started to take a turn for the more perverse, however, its now developing to become focused around emotion, lighting and desaturated colour schemes. I am currently planning a short film centred around these concepts and thought i would share with you my inspirations of current.

My next inspiration comes in the form of Tim Walker's The Lost Explorer, a tale of beauty, melancholy and bursting with the imaginative touches of Walker's usual panache. It is based on the short stories of Patrick McGrath in which a young girl finds a Victorian Explorer in a tent at the bottom of her garden.

"It's about a child with a vivid imagination and that moment when she moves towards adulthood. The Lost Explorer takes her into adulthood. He's a figment of her imagination, but, for Evelyn and the viewer he's real." Tim Walker
